This is an on-going  program of the City Government of Sorsogon  that started with an intensive information and Education Campaign to the 64 barangays, regarding proper waste  segregation and disposal. Alternative ways of waste disposal such as composing is being given emphasis as a vital factor in reducing  the volume of garbage being collected daily in every household. Its advantages contributed  much to the learning of the constituents on waste disposal.

Crop Diversification and Upland Agricultural Development. The City Agriculture has implemented programs that aimed to alleviate incidents of poverty  in barangays affected by  the predicament. Planting of vegetables and root crops in every household was encouraged by using the extra space they have in their area. Seedlings were provided for free by the City Agriculture's Office to those interested to put up their own vegetable gardens.

Construction of Roads, Alley, and Drainage System. Roads, particularly Farm to Market Roads were constructed to provide easy access to Farmers who will be selling their  produce in the central business district.
